As part of the weekend’s events and following a public meeting at Oxford Town Hall on 5 September 2014, Banbury Labour Party member Chris Farman was presented with a certificate by Jim Jump, Secretary of the International Brigade Memorial Trust, at a celebratory party and concert at Iffley Road’s Gladiator Club on Saturday 6 September.

Chris is part of a team that have raised over £5000 for a memorial in Bonn Square, Oxford, to the Oxfordshire volunteers who lost their lives in the Spanish Civil War. They are a little short of the required sum so any donations are welcome.
