Banbury Labour Party claims two new Councillors

Banbury Labour Party scored a couple of devastating blows to the Conservatives in the local elections on 3rd May 2012.

Sean Woodcock in the Ruscote ward and Surinder Dhesi in the Neithrop ward both defeated sitting Conservative councillors.   These victories increase the Labour Group on Cherwell District Council to six in total. Banbury Labour Party also picked up a string of victories on Banbury Town council, meaning that 9 of the 22 councillors are now Labour councillors.
